Wink

I've got a JRSC @ 8psi on a SOHC non-vtec running on stock injectors with a GSS-250 high flow/pressure fuel pump. Will be using ZIP's SMC w/450cc DSM injectors. Will the fuel pump be ok with the 450s?

Thanks

Post

I know I'm bringing this thread "back from the dead" but my setup has changed a bit.

I'm still running the same setup as the 1st post but instead of DSM 450cc injectors I will be using RC440cc with Zip's SMC+.

What I wanted to know was what orifice(sp) should I use in the AEM FPR for both stock injectors and the RC440s (when I do the switch later on)? Can't remember the size/colour so I'll just small/medium/large??

Thanx

Wink

Put the medium sized orifice in and use it for BOTH injectors...
The orifice size relates to the volume of the fuel pump... not the injectors that mounted in the fuel rail.

You may actually be able to get the small orifice to work properly: Set your static fuel pressure to 43 psi and then connect the vaccuum line... if the fuel pressure doesn't drop 6-8 psi, then use the next larger orifice.
